First, let a little love find entrance into their hearts and the rest will follow.- St. Philip Neri
Read MoreThe sacrament of marriage is beautiful and so much more than a contract. It's a union between two people and God. It's a public statement that you will sacrifice, love, and cherish that other person for all the days of your life. It's saying that no matter what valley we may embark on or mountain we may face, we will face it together with faith and determination.
Love is not a feeling....it's a choice
The world needs who you were made to be.

Read MoreI was so happy when Natalie messaged me. Natalie is beyond a talented woman and if you know her, you love her. She is a trainer at the local gym here in Fairhope, Fit Fairhope. She is also an amazing seamstress and just started a children’s line as well ( Threads and Bobbins and Threads and Bobbins Clothing.) So to work with her and her precious family was such a treat! Natalie and her sweet family were just days away from visiting their family from the UK and got up very early to meet me to take their family photos. The magic that these three share is beautiful, nothing but short of a fairytale.

This is it mama. Slow down and breathe.
Take every sight & sound in. Study each detail and remember each face.
This lovely season of life goes by too quickly, so don't forget the little things.
Embrace them.

The days are long, but the years are short. Really short.
Being a mother is hard. Motherhood doesn’t come with vacation days or even sick days. It’s hard to describe but even through the sweat and tears, there is a a kind of joy, a joy that only a mother could really understand. It’s 3 AM feedings, scrapped knee kisses, and the ‘one more song mama’ even though you have already sang twenty.
It’s an unconditional love.
Read MoreThere is something special about the bond between a mother and daughter. As a mother of two boys and another boy due very soon, I personally love capturing the moments between a mother and daughter. I love watching the bond that is constantly blooming. A bond that will blossom into a forever friendship.

I had SO much fun hanging out with this family. We laughed, played games, and really got to know one another. One thing that connected me to this family is how similar our families are. Sarah and I have had similar pregnancies, we love the same names, and we both love large families.
I consider this family more like friends after our session.

Family Documentary is something that I LOVE sooo much. These sessions are real and authentic. I approach these sessions like as if I am a 'fly on the wall.' These sessions are not posed and are unscripted. I capture everything from the sweet snuggles to the full blown out temper tantrums.
These sessions mirror what I capture of my own family and I think that is why I love them so much because I am giving my clients something real. Something they will be able to look back and remember how those days really use to be.
I had a couple of these sessions last year, but one that sticks out the most is my time with Ric and Lauren Bennett.

Bethany and Daniel welcomed their sweet baby boy into the world this past November. When Bethany contacted me to capture the birth of her son, I was truly honored. So when I was asked to come back and capture Drew's home newborn session, I was beyond excited! The Straughan's welcomed me with open arms into their new gorgeous home. Even though the weather was less than ideal, we had a great time and I was so happy to get some little snuggles from baby Drew.
Drew doesn't know it yet, but he won the jackpot when he got Daniel and Bethany as his parents. I have never met two kinder, more loving people who really adore not only one another, but also their sweet child.

Since it's a New Year, I figure I would write a little introduction about yours truly. I'm so blessed to be able to do what I love to do. And since I consider all of my clients my friends, why not let all of my friends get to know me a little better?
There's really no easy way to start and I'm completely awkward when it comes to introductions. Not to mention, despite being an english major in college, I'm the absolute worst at spelling and grammatical errors. You have been warned.
....So here it goes.
