I love watching families grow. It’s one of, if not the best things I love about being a photographer.

I have watched the Luckie family grow since their oldest son, Crosby, was one year old. They invited me into their home in Fairhope, Alabama to take his one year portraits.

The rest is history.

Now it’s Chandler’s turn.

From Chandler’s newborn photos, to his six month photos, to now his one year photos. Watching and documenting these moments for Brittany and Corey have been such a privilege. It means the world to me, honestly.

The day started with Chandler having his one year old portraits taken. It was a blistering cold morning here in Fairhope, Alabama so we quickly moved inside. Once his portraits were finished, we all hung out, caught up on family life, while I captured all of the in between moments that were unfolding around us.

Those are the moments that I love to capture the most.

Because they are real. They are authentic. They are special.

Crosby wanted to have a pillow fight with his mom and dad so he showed me how he could fight his way through he pillows. He even demonstrated his ability to fly! Boys will be boys.

We came back out to the living room to get ready for Chandler’s big finale- the smash cake.

Chandler is definitely a child after my own heart. It took him no time at all to realize that cake is simply the best thing man has ever created. Brittany and I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing.

Thank you Luckie Family for always trusting me with your family’s moments. I truly love watching you grow.
