Kelly contacted me earlier this year about scheduling her family photos and I was so excited to hear from her. Kelly took my motherhood workshop a couple of years and has really grown as a photographer. She takes the most beautiful photos of her little boy and is just a overall sweet human being. When we spoke she mentioned doing them at the historic Fort Morgan down in Fort Morgan. I was so excited to go down and explore with her and her family.

It won't be like this forever. | Lifestyle and Family Documentary | Fairhope Family Photographer

It won’t be like this forever.

The days are long, but the years are short. Really short.

Being a mother is hard. Motherhood doesn’t come with vacation days or even sick days. It’s hard to describe but even through the sweat and tears, there is a a kind of joy, a joy that only a mother could really understand. It’s 3 AM feedings, scrapped knee kisses, and the ‘one more song mama’ even though you have already sang twenty.

It’s an unconditional love.

More of this in 2019.

More of them,
My family will come first more than ever this year. I will be sharing more of them too. They are my muses. My inspiration. They are the reason I love what I do.

Eason | Fresh 48 | Fairhope Newborn Photographer

Meet Bowen.

This sweet adorable little babe is just too cute for words.

I was so touched and honored to have been able to capture this moment for the Eason's.

The Eason's and I met earlier this year when I captured a mama and me session for Jordan and her son, Barrett. We quickly realized that Zach and my husband served alongside in the Alabama National Guard. It was a fun moment between us all!

I've known Caroline and Greg for many years now. In fact, we went to high school together! My husband and Greg graduated together and Caroline and myself were one year apart. Not to mention, Greg and my husband, Andrew, are both Captains in the National Guard and are both police officers at the same department! Caroline and I have been friends for almost 7 years now, she was even my matron of honor at my wedding.

So needless to say, I love this family.

Our session couldn't have gone better. The light was AMAZING that evening, Caroline had all of her boys so well dressed, and everything just fell into place.

Their session was simply perfect.

Allison + Drew | Fairhope Lifestyle & Wedding Photographer

It's not everyday that I get the opportunity to capture engagement sessions. So, when Allison contacted me and asked if I would be interested I immediately said yes!

I knew these two were up for anything when we arrived to our destination and it started to rain. Instead of seeing an obstacle, these two saw an adventure. We all decided to move forward and trek through the rain and climb over broken pier boards and arrived to a quiet little spot at one of the local public beaches. I immediately knew these were my kind of people. (Mind y'all, I was 8 months pregnant at the time, so I felt like superwoman with these two.)

Cauley | Lifestyle Mother & Daughter | Fairhope Family Photographer

There is something special about the bond between a mother and daughter. As a mother of two boys and another boy due very soon, I personally love capturing the moments between a mother and daughter. I love watching the bond that is constantly blooming. A bond that will blossom into a forever friendship.

Meet the Grissom Family.

I had SO much fun hanging out with this family. We laughed, played games, and really got to know one another. One thing that connected me to this family is how similar our families are. Sarah and I have had similar pregnancies, we love the same names, and we both love large families.

I consider this family more like friends after our session.

The Bennett's | Family Documentary | Fairhope Family Photographer

Since it's Thursday, I figured I do a little throw back to one of my favorite sessions I had last year.

Family Documentary is something that I LOVE sooo much. These sessions are real and authentic. I approach these sessions like as if I am a 'fly on the wall.'  These sessions are not posed and are unscripted. I capture everything from the sweet snuggles to the full blown out temper tantrums.

These sessions mirror what I capture of my own family and I think that is why I love them so much because I am giving my clients something real. Something they will be able to look back and remember how those days really use to be.

I had a couple of these sessions last year, but one that sticks out the most is my time with Ric and Lauren Bennett.

Straughan | Fairhope Newborn Photographer

I don't know who you will be, but I know you will be my everything.

Bethany and Daniel welcomed their sweet baby boy into the world this past November. When Bethany contacted me to capture the birth of her son, I was truly honored. So when I was asked to come back and capture Drew's home newborn session, I was beyond excited! The Straughan's welcomed me with open arms into their new gorgeous home. Even though the weather was less than ideal, we had a great time and I was so happy to get some little snuggles from baby Drew.

Drew doesn't know it yet, but he won the jackpot when he got Daniel and Bethany as his parents. I have never met two kinder, more loving people who really adore not only one another, but also their sweet child.

Where Have All The Cowboys Gone? | Fairhope Family Photographer

Since it's a New Year, I figure I would write a little introduction about yours truly.  I'm so blessed to be able to do what I love to do. And since I consider all of my clients my friends, why not let all of my friends get to know me a little better?

There's really no easy way to start and I'm completely awkward when it comes to introductions. Not to mention, despite being an english major in college, I'm the absolute worst at spelling and grammatical errors.  You have been warned.

....So here it goes.
